User testing, Amazon gift certificate
I've occasionally done user testing for a group of accessibility contractors who hook up remotely with people who use adaptive technology in order to do user testing of websites. It usually takes about an hour and then you get an Amazon gift certificate at the end. They're very nice people. I'm posting the most recent call here -- I see elsewhere on the Internet so I assume they don't mind it being public. I know for a fact they are looking for a couple more NaturallySpeaking users.
Interactive Accessibility is working with a client to ensure that a website is accessible for people with disabilities and to test the website's usability for all people.
We will be conducting usability testing of this tool remotely using a web-based screen sharing software program during December 19 – January 6. You can do the testing from your home or office. All you need is access to a computer and a high-speed internet connection.
Sessions will take about one hour and participants will be paid with a gift card valued at $100.
We are looking for 15 users with experienced with the following devices:
- Blind users: JAWS or WindowEyes
- Low-vision users: ZoomText
- Dexterity-impaired users: Dragon Naturally Speaking
You must also be familiar with Windows and with either Internet Explorer or Firefox, and should have solid experience with:
- The World Wide Web, including signing in and out, filling in forms, and performing transactions (such as buying merchandise) on the web.
- Using e-mail on a regular basis.
People with these disabilities and skills can schedule a session by contacting Kathy at:
